Transfer agent
A firm that keeps the official record of who owns a security and processes transfers. In tokenized funds, the blockchain can serve as that record.
Securitize, for example, acts as transfer agent for BlackRock’s BUIDL. Franklin Templeton acts as its own transfer agent for BENJI.
